Junior Doctor Project: Color, Learn and Stay Healthy with the Junior Doctor Project.

On 18 August 2025 in Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, Johor, KLINIK VS introduced the Junior Doctor Project, a community initiative created to gently raise health awareness among children during a period when Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) and seasonal influenza were increasingly reported among school-aged children.

At the time, higher infection rates were observed across childcare centres, preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools. In response, KLINIK VS designed this project to help children better understand everyday health practices, particularly hand hygiene, and to learn how common illnesses spread in a way that feels approachable and age-appropriate.

Through simple conversations and a hands-on coloring activity using health education posters, children were encouraged to ask questions, share their thoughts, and engage with health topics in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. The activity was complemented with a small gift of complimentary pajamas, offered as a gesture of care and encouragement.

“Children are able to learn at every age. No matter how young they are, they can understand when we speak to them with reason and respect,” said Dr. Vincent Pee, highlighting the importance of communicating health education in a way that children can relate to and engage with meaningfully.

He further explained, “The success of this project lies in participation. If every child starts washing their hands more often to help reduce the spread of germs, then I believe we have already achieved our goal.”

KLINIK VS believes that a clinic is more than just a place for treatment. Beyond being a neighborhood clinic, the vision is to create a space where every generation can live well, stay healthy, and continue learning together. Listening, learning, and growing alongside the community are values that guide how initiatives like the Junior Doctor Project come to life.

We place strong importance on prevention, education, and open communication because meaningful healthcare begins with understanding, trust, and small actions that make a lasting difference.
